We are integrating with QBO, and creating the Customer record. We are getting an error that says 'Malformed Web Site Address format' whereas the website is correct.

  • {"Fault":{"Error":[{"Message":"Malformed Web Site Address format","Detail":"Web Site URL does not have correct format. Supplied value:https://bwm.llc/","code":"2200","element":"WebAddr"}],"type":"ValidationFault"},"time":"2023-09-13T16:38:09.299-07:00"}

How can this be fixed? This error did not sync the website address.

I'm happy to have you here today, and thank you for your first post, Behzad.

I'd be delighted to provide more details about your concern today. For me to offer you the most relevant information, can you tell me more about what website are you trying to access and what application you integrate with QuickBooks? It'll help me to assess the situation more effectively and give you the best possible advice.

Additional details are greatly appreciated. I'm only a few clicks away from assisting you again. Have a wonderful day!

We are using this API https://developer.intuit.com/app/developer/qbo/docs/api/accounting/all-entities/customer#create-a-customer.

Our integration is from Salesforce to QBO, however, I think it has to do with the API that we are using and not the integration itself.

Thank you for the response, Behzad.

To check the website URL, I suggest posting this to our Intuit Developer Forum to check with other developers. This is a separate place where you can get an answer from one of the experts handling API concerns.

Here's how:

  1. Go to Intuit Developer Support.
  2. Select QuickBooks Online.
  3. Click Ask a question.

I'm adding this reference so you're able to track the status of the discussion you've started and as well as get the latest updates from our developer team: Intuit Developer Blog.

Let me know if you have further questions about your QuickBooks account. I'm always here to answer them for you. Have a great rest of the day!
