Wondering what a typical duration of 1099 filings reaming "InAgency"?  Is the cited agency QuickBooks or the IRS & State?  How does this status reflect upon filing deadlines and sending to Recipients?

I appreciate you posting your questions here in the Community, @Torrey. I'm here to assist you with your queries about 1099 filings.

The InAgency status for 1099 e-filing is for federal copies only. The InAgency status means the IRS has received it but it's not yet processed or approved yet. However, it does not impact filing deadlines or sending forms to recipients, as the IRS and state tax agencies set those.

Once the InAgency status changes to Accepted or Processed by the IRS, it indicates that the filing has been successfully received and is being reviewed.

Furthermore, if available, you can learn how to print your 1099 and 1096 forms in QuickBooks Online.
