What is the default font and font size used on printed checks for Quickbooks Online?  Is there a way to adjust the font and size that doesn't involve changing the scale in the printer settings?

@Nick_M @Rubielyn_J Can someone please just tell me the default font and size?! that's what I need know. I don't care about any other information at this point.  What i need to know is... is it size 10? 12? 14? is Arial? Cambria? Gothic?

@pato ,  I believe it is Arial 10.  No for sure, though.

Good luck getting a real answer from anyone Intuit.

I'm here to provide some details about the default font and size on printed checks, @pato.

The Check font and size follow the standard default for check printing. Also, there isn't an option to adjust or customize the default font and font size.

QuickBooks also requires these settings to ensure that all pages displayed properly:

  • Screen resolution set to 1024x768 or higher
  • Dots-per-inch (DPI) set to Normal or 100%

I'm adding this article, to get more information on how to print checks and pay stubs for your employees: Print Checks.

For future reference, feel free to check this article on how to access reports for paychecks in QBO:  Run and Print Reports

Please get back in here if you have other queries. I want to make sure everything is taken care of for you. Have a nice day.

thank you @Rubielyn_J, but are you going to tell me what the default font and size are or do I have to guess?

Hello, pato.

Thank you for dropping by this evening. Unfortunately, at this time, you cant change the font style or size printed on checks. However, I could see how that would be very beneficial, especially the font size. For that reason, I'm suggesting this change to our product development team to see about getting this change made in a future update. Keep an eye on our Blog as that's where you'll find information on changes made.

I'm also including some information on how to print checks in QBO and check printing alignment.

If you have any other questions, feel free to post here anytime. Thank you and have a nice evening.
