We appreciate the feedback, @books by bessie.

Allow me to join the conversation and share some insight about the Books by Bessie pop-up showing in your QuickBooks Online.

As mentioned by my colleagues, this is a new feature added to QBO for creating invoices and the available ways to receive a payment. If you want this option removed, you may send product suggestion straight to our developers for consideration in future updates.

Please know that your voice matters and that enhancements and improvements to QuickBooks are largely the results of feedback provided by users like you.  Rest assured, I’ll make sure to submit feedback on my end in regards to your issue with the pop-up to reinforce your request.

Here's how:
1.    Go to the Gear icon.
2.    Select Feedback.
3.    Share your feedback, then click Next.

You can also submit your request through this link: https://feedback.qbo.intuit.com/.

We’d love to hear from you. Let me know if you need anything else, I’ll be more than happy to help.  Thanks for dropping by and take care!

Hello and welcome to the Community, Shari3.

It would be my pleasure to help figure out why it's showing on your estimates.

You can configure the information entered on the Estimate template in QuickBooks Online.

Here's how:

  1. On the left panel, click Sales.
  2. Go to the All Sales tab.
  3. Open the estimate.
  4. Click Customize.
  5. Select Edit current.
  6. Go to the Content tab.
  7. Click the pencil icons in the right corner.
  8. Make the necessary changes.
  9. Click Done.

Please don't hesitate to reach out to me if you need further help by adding additional information or screenshots. Any further details you can provide will help to ensure a timely solution.

Hello finitetime,

I want to know more about this so we can give you the exact way of resolving the issue.

Is the "Books By Bessie" a field? Are you seeing the "Books By Bessie" in the Estimate window or in the Sales > All Sales tab? What steps did you take so far?

I'd really appreciate it if you can provide screenshots on this. Thanks a lot in advance!

How do we delete this block? I cannot input email addresses to send estimates.

IF I CAN'T SEND ESTIMATES, I CAN'T MAKE MONEY. IF I CAN'T MAKE MONEY, NEITHER CAN QUICKBOOKS.

Hello there, @SOARESCUE.

I understand it can get frustrating to be prompted with a pop-out window while working with your QuickBooks Online account. Allow me to share additional details about this block.

As mentioned by my colleagues here in this thread, the prompt you’re seeing right now is a new feature that lets you create an invoice or a purchase order for that specific estimate you’re viewing or creating. You’ll receive this prompt only if you have a QuickBooks Payments account.

Since this is covering the email field in your estimate screen, it is possible you’re viewing it on a smaller window page. Currently, there’s no way to remove this block nor turn it off. What you can do is to maximize the view of your window page. Rest assured, this will affect none of your transactions if will opt out not to choose it.

Please feel free to visit our Community page if there are any accounting and bookkeeping features you’d like to get more familiar with. I’m always here to answer your inquiries about navigating around QuickBooks Online.

At first I was concerned that my QB had been compromised.

This is unacceptable that an advertisement is placed in a paid product. This must be removed and not feedback sent. This is feedback and action should be taken.

Hi,

I'm an engineer from Quickbooks Online team.

Thanks very much for reporting the issue.  What you're seeing is a bug. This image was intended for a different screen. Due to the bug, in certain flows, the "Create Invoice" button on the estimate screen got replaced by this image.

This issue has been fixed and got released today. Upon your next login, the "Create Invoice" button should be visible as it used to be.

Thanks,

Thiyagaraj

Oh my gawd, LMAO! 😂 I'm in software test and this thread is the best laugh I've had in ages! It was hilarious watching the users getting grumpier and grumpier, and the poor beleaguered first line support getting more and more desperate. Then in comes the developer cavalry with a, "Dudes; it's just a bug. Can everyone just chill!"  Sigh; good times. 😀
