I need to advice a client what QBO plan to purchase that includes billable expense income tracking. She pays expenses out of her company that later invoices her clients, and needs to keep track.

With QuickBooks Online Plus and Advanced, she can easily track billable expenses. For additional features, you can explore our Plans and Pricing page.

 

If she's currently using QBO Simple Start or Essentials, she can upgrade her subscription by following these steps:

 

  1. Sign in to QuickBooks Online as a primary or company admin.
  2. Go to the Gear icon and then click Subscriptions and billing.
  3. Ensure that your payment info is updated.
  4. Under the QuickBooks Online section, select Upgrade your plan.
  5. Go through the available plans and hit Choose plan.
  6. Follow the steps displayed on your screen.
