Hello there, Margaret. We'll help you get through this to upgrade your current QuickBooks Online (QBO) subscription plan.

Looking at the error message you received, this may have something to do with your browser. Please know that browsers can collect temporary internet files to speed up the browsing capabilities, but too many of them can cause problems within the program.

We can perform basic troubleshooting to free your browser from those temporary internet files. Before doing so, access your account in an incognito or private browser through these shortcut keys:

  • Chrome: Ctrl+Shift+N
  • Firefox: Ctrl+Shift+P
  • Safari: Command+Shift+N

Once you're in, access your company file and try to upgrade your subscription. If you're able to save it, proceed to clear your cache. For further details, refer to this article for the steps: Clear cache and cookies to fix issues when using QuickBooks Online.

If the issue persists, we recommend contacting our Customer Care Team so they can take a look on your end and conduct further investigation to determine the root cause of the problem. Refer to this page for more information: QuickBooks Online Support.

In addition, here's an article to help you handle your monthly billing and QBO subscription: Manage billing, payment, and subscription info in QuickBooks Online.

We highly encourage you to reply in the comment section if you have other QuickBooks questions or assistance performing tasks inside the program. We'll make sure to be around and provide a helping hand. Keep safe.
