Question

When reconciling my account, it won't let me scroll down to see everything. How can I scroll down?

Hi there, cjgab60.

My main goal is to ensure you can reconcile your account. I'll lay down the possible cause of why the scroll-down button isn't working and the steps to fix this.

Beforehand, may I know which part of the Reconcile page you can't scroll down? It'll help us determine what's causing the issue. Adding a screenshot would be a great help, too.

In the meantime, I recommend accessing your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account via the private window. Doing so helps us check if this is a cache-related issue. Excessive stored cache in your regularly used browser can affect the program's performance and functionality.

Using an incognito mode is a great place to verify the cause. It doesn't accumulate cache or save your browsing history. Here are the keyboard shortcuts:

  • Safari: Command + Shift + N
  • Google Chrome: CTRL + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Edge: CTRL + Shift + N

Once logged in, reconcile your account again. If you can scroll down and see everything on the page, I suggest clearing the browser's cache. Doing so improves system performance, fixes program problems, and frees storage space.

You can also use other supported browsers to help us determine if this is a browser-specific problem.

If you're using the Advanced version and the scroll-down button isn't working when checking all of the transaction that needs to be reconciled. I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Support Team. Our system shows that we have an ongoing investigation related to the issue.

At the moment, our engineering team is already taking a look at this to determine what's causing the issue. Here's how to reach out to support so they can add you as one of the affected users:

  1. Go to the Help menu and then select the Assistant tab.
  2. Enter Contact Support in the chat box and press Enter.
  3. Select QuickBooks Online Support, then click Contact Us at the bottom of the screen.
  4. Click Ask about something else, then enter a short description of your concern or provide INV-106187 as a reference.
  5. Choose between Have us call you or Chat.

In the meantime, I suggest using the filter option to view all the transactions. Alternatively, you can also increase the resolution of the screen. Or collapse the left bar for a wider view.

Once you finish reconciling, QBO automatically creates a report for that period. It is handy if you have trouble reconciling the following month and when you meet with your accountant. To learn how to access this, you can browse this article: View, print, or export a reconciliation report.

Let me know if you have additional questions about reconciling books in QBO or need assistance navigating the Reconcile page. You can always add the details by clicking the Reply button. I'm here to help.
