Let's work together to resolve the issue where the description field jumps to the quantity field while editing your estimates, so you can get back to sending estimates smoothly, Jered.

First off, the behavior you're experiencing could be a browser-related problem. Sometimes, accumulated cache files in your browser cause unexpected behavior in the program.

To rectify this, we can perform some basic troubleshooting steps. Start by logging in to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account using a private or incognito window. Depending on your browser, you can use the following keyboard shortcuts:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

Once done, attempt to edit your estimate. If this resolves the problem, return to your default browser and clear its cache to refresh the system and start with a clean slate. Alternatively, you may use other supported browsers.

Additionally, I've added this article to help you seamlessly transition your estimates into invoices, saving you time and ensuring accuracy in your billing process: Convert an estimate into an invoice in QuickBooks Online.

Hello, Icognito worked, but clearing the cache didn't. Thanks for getting me going this evening! I'll follow up with tech/support tomorrow.
