I appreciate you letting us know the error you received when printing W2 forms in your account, finance201. I've got information to share, so you can print and send these forms to your employees.

 

In QuickBooks Online, inviting employees to make an account to view their W2s is part of the process for electronically delivering W2 forms to them. This feature allows your workers to securely access and print their own copies through QuickBooks Workforce.

 

QuickBooks typically waits until January 31st to send out and print W2 forms. If you want employees to view their form, they can download their copy from QB Workfoce if needed.

That solution only works if all employees have computers and can create Workforce accounts.  We have employees that do not have access to a computer therefore I must provide a paper copy of their W-2.  Every time I try to do just that I get "Error displaying form
Form not available at this time. Please try again later."

Sometimes, data stored in your browser's cache can cause unexpected error. Therefore, I suggest accessing your QBO account in an incognito window to check if cached data are the cause of the issue.

 

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: press Command + Shift + N

 

If the buttons are now functioning, it would be beneficial to clear your browser's cache and cookies. This often resolves issues associated with stored data. You can also try using other supported browsers. I suggest using the most recent versions of well-known browsers.

  2. Choose Contact us.
