Why don't my contractor names show when preparing 1099s

Contractor details don't show up when I try to send out my 1099s

When preparing 1099s, ensure that all transactions are in the same company file. It's important to verify that your vendors qualify for 1099s and that they have reached the threshold of $600 or more. This ensures that all eligible vendors receive the necessary forms.

To track payments for 1099, here's how:
 

  1. Go to Vendors
  2. Choose the vendor you want to track and open their profile.
  3. Click Edit.
  4. Then select and tick the Track payments for 1099 checkbox.

In addition, the 1099 will display the company name. If you wish to make changes to the name, simply access the vendor profile.
