Why is Quickbooks Online Payroll showing liabilities due for a check I voided?

I voided a duplicate payroll check but Quickbooks Online is generating my total Payroll Liabilities that are due, for both checks. When I reviewed the Chart of Accounts and Payroll Liability Register, only the correct amounts for the correct checks are showing up, the voided value isn't. However, when I begin to go through the steps as if I am going to pay the liabilities, the calculation QBO is generating is including the amount for the voided check. I have tried to refresh, log out and back in, clear my cache and cookies. Nothing is working. Any suggestions?

Know that when you void a check, it typically results in a transaction with a value of zero, but the transaction remains in QuickBooks Online (QBO). However, since your voided check is shown as a liability, it is advisable to seek assistance from the payroll support team. They can help you with this issue. Here's how:

 

  1. In your QuickBooks, go to Help and click Contact Us.
  2. Have a brief explanation about your concern and select Let's Talk.
  3. Decide a way to contact the support team.

 

Moreover, note that you can reach the team from Monday to Friday, 6 AM to 6 PM Pacific time if you're using QBO Payroll Core. Otherwise, you can contact them at any time and any day for QBO Payroll Premium and Elite.
