Year End Inventory

When in the cycle count module and selecting items you want to count, under the "all fields" selector there is a "custom field".  Is it possible to define what "custom field" is?  We have a user-defined and added field in our inventory for "bin location", and we would to select items to inventory by bin location.  How do we do that?

When performing a Cycle Count in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT), the custom fields filter the items when selecting multiple items simultaneously. This feature allows for more efficient and accurate inventory management by enabling you to specify and customize the criteria for item selection during the cycle count process.

 

Additionally, at present, it is not feasible to designate inventory items with an added bin location directly on the Inventory page. However, you have the option to generate an Items by Bin Location report, which will furnish comprehensive information about the specific bin locations to which your inventory items are assigned.
