I use QB desktop with QB payments.  Is there a way to assign a default class to the batch fees?

Assigning a default class to QuickBooks Payment batch fees is a great idea, @Kat-65. Let me provide information and help improve your experience.

At this moment, assigning a default class to batch fees isn’t possible in QuickBooks Desktop. I can see how this ability could save time and help your business.

You can use the Feedback feature to send this matter straight to our Product Development team. This way, they can take a look and might consider this as part of the future enhancements.

Here's how:

  1. Open QuickBooks.
  2. Go to the Help menu.
  3. Select Send Feedback Online.

If you want to generate reports to track your entries with classes, check out this article for better guidance: Filter, sort, or total reports by Class. It helps ensure records are categorized correctly.

Please let me know if you have any other concerns or additional questions besides assigning a default class. I’ll be here anytime to help. Take care always!
