Question

auto charging customers for them

I invoice customers weekly. The amount of the invoice always changes. Some of my customers would like to have their account set up so I can just go in and charge them so they don't have to do it weekly. I would prefer to link their bank account not credit card if possible. Is there a way to do this?

Yes, there's a way to link a customer's bank account instead of a credit card, jagrubbs.

With QuickBooks Payments, we can accept bank transfers for invoices we send and sales we make. To get started, let's get you to sign up for QuickBooks Payments. Here are the steps to complete the process:

  1. Click the Gear icon at the upper right corner and choose Account and Settings.
  2. From the left panel. go to the Payments tab and click the Learn More button.
  3. Tap Set Up Payments to get started.
  4. Fill out the necessary information.
  5. Set up your bank account and hit Submit.

The following is a brief video to serve as a visual reference: How to Set Up QuickBooks Payments.

If you already have a QuickBooks Payments account, we can refer to this article on how to link the customer's bank account: Process an ACH bank transfer from a customer.  In the same link, we can find details on how to get their authorization to save the information.

Let me know if you have any other payment concerns or anything about QuickBooks. I'm always here to keep helping. Have a nice day, jagrubbs.
