I have a bill in my QB account that we will not be paying. What do I need to do to resolve this bill in QB such that it is no longer appearing as an outstanding payable?

I see you have a bill in your QB account that you want to resolve so it will not appear as an outstanding payable. You've reached the right forum. I have steps you can follow to help you clear this bill.

You can delete the bill through the Bill window, from the Expense Transactions list, the Accounts Payable register, or through a report. Here's how:

1. Open the bill to delete using one of these methods:

  • Go to Expenses, then select Expenses.
  • Select the appropriate bill from the Expense Transactions list.
  • Locate and select the bill in the Accounts Payable register in the Chart of Accounts.
  • Select the bill from within a report.

2. In the Bill window, select More at the bottom of the screen and select Delete from the pop-up menu.

3. When prompted, select Yes to confirm that you want to delete the bill.
