hi there, jwl74044.

Thanks for sharing the complete details of your concern. I know a couple of troubleshooting steps to help you connect your Mercury credit card and First Bank and Trust to QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Let's start by searching your bank using its name. I've tried it on my end and wasn't able to find the Mercury card. That means QuickBooks is not yet supported by your financial institution. What we need to do is send a request to support your bank and add your bank transactions manually.

Here's how:

  1. When you enter your bank and click Find, you’ll get the message, Sorry! We can’t find your bank.
  2. Click on the button Request to add my bank.
  3. Enter your bank’s website URL in the field provided, after first verifying it, the Bank name and your email address.
  4. Press Submit.

Also, I recommend entering First Bank and Trust's online banking URL. This way, we can make sure you're connecting the right bank account. I've tried searching just by the name and it gives me several results. See this photo below.

I have followed your steps to request the same credit card company about a year ago and they still haven’t linked them to QuickBooks. I also requested for Mission Lane to be linked and it hasn’t also. Is there anyway to get these two linked?

I acknowledge that linking a credit card (CC) to QuickBooks Online (QBO) is essential in managing your business transactions, Beckley.  I'm here to supply you with information about this and help you send a request so you can connect your CC in the system.

If your financial institution (FI) is not yet available to be linked to QBO, you'll need to send a request to both your FI and QuickBooks. Please know that sending a request to both parties is essential so they can execute the negotiation to add your FI to the supported banks.

Thus, I recommend contacting your FI again so you can follow up on your requests. Then, submit a request in QBO for both FIs.

To request for your CC/FI to be added to the supported banks, kindly follow the steps below for both accounts:

  1. Log in to your QBO account.
  2. Go to the Transactions menu and select Bank Transactions.
  3. Click the Link account, then search for your CC institution's name or paste its URL.
  4. Once prompted, hit Request to add my bank.
  5. Follow the on-screen process of sending a request.
  6. Once done, press Request.

Whenever you can successfully connect your CC to QBO in the future, you'll need to organize the downloaded data accordingly. For proper guidance, please click this article: Categorize online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online. This link could help you designate your transactions to accurate accounts to have precise data in the system.

Let me know if you have more queries about connecting your CC to QBO by replying to this thread. I'll be in touch.

Another option, use MT Online or one of the converter tools (e.g csv2qbo) for the time being.
