I recently changed from recently migrated from desktop to online. I need to know why the check I created to print later isn't listed on the list only the years 2021-2023?

Let me provide insights about the missing checks on your to-print-later list after migrating from QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) to QuickBooks Online (QBO), 11501.

Before we begin, could you clarify whether the checks you mentioned were previously created in QBO or if they were created in QBDT and are not appearing on the Print Checks page?

If the checks in question were previously created in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT), they may not have been included in the migration due to the large size of your file. In QuickBooks, a large file size can lead to some data loss, such as checks from previous years, not transferring to QuickBooks Online (QBO). Therefore, it is advisable to condense the file size before migrating from QBDT to QBO.

To verify the existence of the check, let's generate a Check Detail report that includes a Check printed column.

Here's how:

  1. Go to Reports, then Standard reports.
  2. Look for a Check Detail report on the search bar.
  3. Click the Columns icon, and tick the check box for the Check printed to add the column to your report.

Moreover, you can remigrate and condense your data to ensure the file isn't too big for QuickBooks Online. This will help you verify that all your data has been successfully transferred.

On the other hand, if these checks were recently created in QuickBooks Online (QBO), you may have a long list of checks waiting to be printed. Additionally, it’s possible that the missing checks were posted to a different bank account. Make sure to verify that you are selecting the correct bank associated with those checks.
