is there a way to enter a sales receipt for an employee being linked to the same person?

(not creating a new customer with another letter etc.)

There is no direct option in QuickBooks Desktop to generate a sales receipt specifically for employees. This is because sales receipts are typically reserved for transactions involving customers. To bypass this, you'll need to create a distinct customer profile for your employee, slightly altering their name. This will allow you to issue a sales receipt for them.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Go to Customers menu, then choose Customers Center.
  2. Click New Customer & Job, then select New Customer.
  3. Fill in the necessary information, including the employee's name you wish to issue a sales receipt.
  4. Hit OK.

 

Once done, you can now create a sales receipt.
