I used to be able to go to a customer, click on a payment I had received and see whether it was in the form of a check or Venmo or something else.

Thank you for posting to the QuickBooks Community, @peter august.

The browser's cache may have interrupted resources from internet files. This is why QuickBooks Online doesn't show the payment details you have received in the customer's transaction list.

In your case, we can isolate this issue by logging in to your QuickBooks account using a private browser. Then, try to see your payment details from there.

Use these keyboard shortcuts based on the browser you're using:

  • For Firefox or Microsoft Edge, press Ctrl + Shift + P.
  • For Chrome, press Ctrl + Shift + N.
  • For Safari, hold down Command + Shift + N.

If it works in incognito, you'll have to clear the cache of your regular browser. This removes the history or log of sites so you can start with a clean slate. If the steps above didn't work, use another supported browser as an alternative.

If you want to personalized your invoices in QBO in the future, you can reference this article: Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.

Let me know if there's anything else you need help with seeing customer payments. I'm always here to help you anytime. Take care, and have a nice day ahead!
