Hello there, Carson.

Let's go over some basic troubleshooting steps to resolve the unusual experience when creating an invoice. I'm here to walk you through the process.

To begin, open QuickBooks Online (QBO) in incognito mode or a private window and create an invoice. These modes are designed to prevent data and history linked with a specific browsing session from staying on the device. They also allow the online program to function smoothly. Follow the steps below to bring up private browsing:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Option + P

If the email address no longer auto-populates on the invoice page, clear the cache and cookies to improve the browser's overall performance. Otherwise, use another supported browser to see if the issue is with the current one you're using.
