Entering Routing Debit Card Transactions in Quickbooks desktop

Hi

I have a small business and do make small routine debit card purchases of non inventory items  at places like staples without using purchase orders.

How do I enter these transactions in QB desktop?

Is it necessary to create purchase order and receive bills in such an instance?

I would just enter them in the Checking Register like any other transaction attached to the correct Expense Acct (e.g. Office Expenses, Auto Gas/Oil, etc.)

 

** I'm assuming the Debit Card is attached to Checking.
