I created a new invoice with more details for a customer that needs tickets in and tickets out for our trucking firm. Eveything works except I cannot type anything in the ticket out field. Help pleasse!

You’ve finally visited us, @FCF Trucking. I’ve come to help resolve this so you can process the invoice successfully in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).


Before anything else, did you receive any error messages? It helps us figure out the best solution for you.


As long as the fields are added or show up on your Invoice page, you should be able to enter information. You can manually update your QBDT to the latest release to get around this and keep your program in optimum condition.

 

Here’s how:

 

  1. Go to the Help menu and select Update QuickBooks Desktop.
  2. Click the Update Now button, then select Get Updates.
  3. When the update finishes, close and reopen the program.
  4. Select Yes when asked to install the update.
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to finish.


You can also use the Verify and Rebuild Data tools if the same thing happens. It resolves data issues and helps ensure the company is error-free.
