Thanks for reaching out to the Community, MKS68.

Initially, you'll want to confirm you're using Android device with Release 12 or higher. If your device is Android 11 or older, it's currently unsupported. You can find detailed steps for checking which version you're using on Google's website.

In the event you're trying to connect your printer, make sure it's turned on and that Bluetooth is enabled on both devices. Afterwards, on the mobile device, go to Settings, Receipt printers, then tap Add a printer. This will scan for Bluetooth printers. GoPayment will detect your compatible printers and they'll appear on the screen. Next you can choose a printer you'd like to add.

Once your printer's connected, you'll be able to print a receipt.

Here's how:

  • When you make a sale, select Print receipt.
  • While viewing a sales receipt from the transaction list, tap Print receipt.
  • If Print receipt doesn't show, check your printer. Be sure to connect it if it isn't already connected.

In the event your printer won't print, go to Settings, Receipt printers, then pick the printer. Your printer model will determine which options you'll see. You may see connection status, cover status, paper level, and an option to set the printer as your default. Next, tap the printer's name and its status. Cover status and paper level may highlight an issue.

Here's what you can do to troubleshoot your printer's connection:

  1. Try turning the printer off, then back on.
  2. Switch your Bluetooth setting off, then back on.
  3. Disconnect and reconnect the printer, then select Forget printer on your mobile device.

If you still have an issue with the printer, you'll want to contact Epson for further assistance. You can find their contact information on their website.

You'll also be able to find many detailed resources about using QuickBooks in our help article archives.

If there's any additional questions, I'm just a post away. Have an awesome Friday!

Can I connect a receipt printer on the GoPayment app with an apple phone.

July 23, 2024

Hello there, Jill. I can share information about connecting a receipt printer to the GoPayment app in QuickBooks.

Connecting a receipt printer for an Apple phone in the GoPayments app is currently unavailable. However, you can print receipts on an Android device (release 12 or higher) to specific printers via Bluetooth. See this article for details: Print receipts in GoPayment on your Android.

I also suggest sending feedback to our product development team about the option to connect a receipt printer to an Apple device. That way, they can review and consider implementing it in future product updates.

For Android devices:

  1. Select the Menu button.
  2. Tap the Gear icon.
  3. Click on the vertical ellipsis ⋮ in the upper-right corner.
  4. Choose Feedback
  5. Type in your feedback and product suggestions. Then, tap Send Feedback.

For iOS devices:

  1. Go to the Menu ☰ icon, then select Help & Feedback.
  2. Choose App Feedback.
  3. Type in your feedback and product suggestions.

Visit our Feedback forum page to see a list of other QuickBooks users who suggested this feature, as well as the recent updates in QuickBooks.

Please refer to this article for more information about their features and operating systems: QuickBooks Payments card reader features and compatibility.

I'm attaching this article for future reference in managing payments using the GoPayments app: Process payments in the GoPayment app.
