How do I change the credit card number entered when credit card was set up for my company?

who ever set this account up entered the wrong number for the business credit card and I need to change it, how do I do that?

    From the chart of accounts select the account in question. From the edit menu select edit account.

    just using the edit feature does not work for me. credit card number was not attainable. instructions told me to deactivate the online services first. That opened the card number to be changed. But, when i try to reactivate it, and it is asking for the account ID name, I enter it, and it comes back with an erro saying my Federal EIN number is invalid, and after hitting 'ok' on that window, the name entered blanks out, and then it says I entered an invalid ID name for the account. If I enter the EIN number, then it pops up saying I need to fill in all the fields in the 'online services tab', which does not exist. This is premier 2017

    Hello there, @WmBros.

     

    You're correct that you need to deactivate online services when changing the credit card number.

     

    The credentials you entered may be incorrect, and that's why you're getting an error when reactivating the account. You need to enter your online banking ID, not an EIN.

     

    I suggest verifying the credentials from your financial institution (FI). This is to ensure the current information will be pulled from the bank server when you re-setup the account.

     

    Once verified, please follow the steps outlined in this article on how to enter bank account information: Set up an account for Bank Feeds. Then, select which connection method currently offered by your FI.

    I need to change the credit card number for paying for payroll and ordering supplies.  The one associated to the account was hacked.

    Thanks for joining in this thread, Jeffrey16.

     

    You can change the credit card information through the Account/Billing Information page. Below are the steps to complete the process.

     

    1. In QuickBooks, go to Employees > My Payroll Service > Account/Billing Information.
    2. Sign in using your Intuit Account login.
    3. Once signed in, go to Billing Details box. The level of information may vary depending on your contact role. If you don't see any information under the Billing Details box, this means that you're not the current billing contact. To change the Holder and/or the billing contact, please contact us.
    4. If you see the current credit card information, you are the billing contact of your company. Select the Edit link to update your billing information.
    5. Enter your new billing information and select I Agree.

    Also, you could use our Customer Account Management Portal Site or CAMPS. Just like the QuickBooks Account page, you can also access your credit card credentials through this site to update your billing information.
