Question

How do you fix QB connection with AMEX Credit Card? I have tried reconnecting numerous times and each time I update the bank feed, QB prompts me to verify my AMEX info.

I've got your back, @sghazzawi0. I'm here to help you connect your AMEX Credit Card to QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Some banks require more information after you enter your credentials. This means your financial institution has additional security requirements for you to address, such as a security question or one-time passcode.

If you're still having issues after providing the answer or OTP, you may have accumulated too much historical data in your browser. Whenever you visit a website, it saves some information from the web page in its cache and cookies. These files allow the websites you visit most often to load faster. Not to worry, clearing them will do the trick.

First, let's try accessing your account through an incognito window to rule out the possibility of a webpage issue. You can refer to these shortcut keys to open an incognito window in all supported browsers:

  • Chrome: Ctrl+Shift+N
  • Firefox: Ctrl+Shift+P
  • Safari: Command+Shift+N

After logging in to QBO, reconnect your account again. If it works, I recommend clearing your browser's cache so you can access QuickBooks with a clean slate. You can also use a different supported browser.

QuickBooks automatically downloads entries up to a certain date. If you want to enter older ones, or if your bank or credit card can't connect to QuickBooks, you can upload transactions manually.

If you need further assistance with your online bank feeds, I'm always available here to help. I'll keep an eye out for your response. Take care, @sghazzawi0.
