I am locked on the intuit page - I have to hit control/alt/delete to abort and get out. What on earth is going here?

The following are the common reason for the QuickBooks glitch to occur.

• The size o the company file exceeds the limit.
• A corrupt or missing QBWUSER.INI file is present in the system.
• Corrupted operating system
• Firewall/internet security settings that are too restrictive.
• QuickBooks program installation has been corrupted due to a faulty download.
• A corrupted hard disk used to program installation might also cause QuickBooks to stop.

We'll use the QuickBooks Install Diagnostic Tool (QBInstall Tool). This will assist us in identifying any component issues with your QuickBooks Desktop. 

Here's how:

1. Save the QuickBooks Install Diagnostic Tool to your computer.

2. Save the file to the local desktop when prompted.

3. Exit any running programs and launch the QBInstall Tool.

It may take up to 20 minutes to finish depending on internet speed and computer performance.

4. After running the tool, restart the computer to ensure that the components are properly updated.
