I have sale and payment from my bank merchant machine. How can I put the sale amount in the quick book sale category

I've got you covered, maesacupressure. I'm here to ensure you're able to record your daily sales in QuickBooks Online.

First, you'll have to create a customer for daily sales. You can use this customer name on your end-of-the-day sales receipt. I'll show you how

1. From the left menu, select Sales and click Customers.
2. Select New customer.
3. Enter "Daily Sales."
4. Once done, click Save.

For the correct items, set up a Daily Sales category. This keeps your items organized. To learn more about the process, see Step 3 on Record your total daily sales article. 

In addition, to make sure you've recorded the correct total amount of sales in a day, I'd recommend pulling up the Sales by Customer Summary report. Then, Then, filter this report so you can focus on the details that matter to most you.
