Is there a way to invoice out a single item but have multiple items pull from inventory for that one line item. We have custom built parts using multiple items but will only need to invoice for the custom built pc. Any suggestions on the best way to handle this?

Great having you join us here in the Community, @nvrcbe. I've come to help you achieve your goal with your invoices in QuickBooks Online.

If you mean to utilize an invoice with a line item with a bundle, you'll want to create a bundle from the products and services and add it to your invoices.

Before doing so, please know that bundle is exclusive to QuickBooks Commerce. This is unavailable for purchase as a stand-alone product. You can use this feature if you have QB Commerce bundled with your QBO subscription.

To start, you'll need to add products and variants to your inventory before creating a bundle. Once ready, here's how to create a bundle:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select Products and Services.
  2. Click +New and choose Bundle.

  3. Enter the bundle name, SKU, description, and which products/services are included.
  4. Tick the box if you want to Display bundle items when printing or sending transactions.
  5. Once done, click Save and Close.

From there, you can now add the bundle to your form. I'll show you how:

  1. Go to +New and select Invoice.
  2. Enter the information need.
  3. From the line item, you can choose whether Your customer won't see any of the items in this bundle or Your customer will see all items in the bundle.
  4. Click Save and Close.

Once you've added the bundle, you can add, edit, and delete items. You can also add a discount.
