How do I ensure that I charge the credit card fee of 2.99% to the customer? Do I just add the total amount to my invoice?

Yes, Mendoza. To ensure your customer covers the 2.99% Credit Card Fee, you'll need to add it as a separate line item in their invoice. Let me guide you through the process.  

 

To start, let's create a Service Item:

  1. Navigate to the Gear icon, then choose Product and Sevices.
  2. Click New, then select Service.
  3. Enter the name of your service item. (Example: CC Fee)
  4. Select the account you'd like to use to track the processing fees.
  5. Click Save and Close.

 

After finishing up, either create a new invoice for your customer or open an existing one, and then manually include the service item you've just set up.
