I accidentally zero'd out an invoice. All I wanted to do was change the Service/Product to say deposit, not site work. Now when I try to revise it back; it says "error enter a product/service", but I have 1 there.

Welcome here in the Community, @CaitPHG.

I understand how inconvenient it is to be prompted with an error message while recreating an invoice. Don't worry, I've got the necessary fixes so you can revise the invoice and change its product/service.

Getting an error message of missing products/services, even if we have one, is an unusual behavior of QuickBooks Online (QBO). In most cases, this is caused by a full cache stored for a long period. That said, I suggest performing some basic troubleshooting steps to fix this.

We can either clear your browser's cache and cookies or log in to your account through an incognito browser. This way, we can access QBO with a fresh start and have a better product experience.

Here are some keyboard shortcuts we can use:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

Once done, we can delete and recreate the invoice to trigger the system to correct the changes.

I've also included an article if you'll be interested in changing the appearance of your sales forms so they would look professional and eye-catching: Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.
