Can QuickBooks online automatically add a processing fee if someone wants to pay with credit card?

Thank you!

Good day, Chris.

Know that adding a processing fee for card payment is unavailable in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Instead, you can manually apply it to the transaction. Let me provide the detailed info below.

To do this, set up a Non-inventory or Service item first and add it to the invoice. Here's how:

  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Click Products and Services.
  3. On the Products and Services list page, click on the New icon.
  4. Choose Service or Non-Inventory.
  5. Fill in the necessary information.
  6. Then, Save and Close.

After that, add the credit card fee as an additional item on your invoice when you charge your customers with the processing fee.
