My home page has said "Action required, We were unable to process a payment". It's said this for years despite obviously being paid up to date. How do I make it go away??

The unable to process a payment warning is constantly present on my home page. Why and how do I make it go away? Obviously it's paid up to date otherwise I wouldn't be able to use it.

To get this addressed, I recommend performing basic troubleshooting steps. Let's start by accessing your QBO account using an incognito/private browser. Your browser's cache and cookies become corrupted, leading to errors or unexpected behaviors. Refer to these shortcut keys:

 

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

 

If the private browsing session works, clear your main browser's cache to restart. Clearing the cache will effectively reset the program, allowing you to sort issues caused by stored cache and cookies. Another way is to utilize other supported browsers.
