Let's do these troubleshooting steps to get your new card reader connected with QuickBooks Online (QBO), danriskey.

Since it's new, you must log in to your QBO mobile app as an administrator to access the Card Reader settings without using the Go Payment app.

Once done, we can disconnect and reconnect the card reader by following the steps below depending on the color of the app.

Here's how:

Green

  1. Go to the Settings.
  2. Click Card Readers, then disconnect.
  3. From the Reader Actions drop-down, select Forget Reader.
  4. Reconnect the reader.

Blue

  1. Click More, then select Hardware.
  2. Select Card readers, and choose the card reader you want to disconnect.
  3. Click Forget Reader.
  4. Reconnect the reader.

If the same thing happens, follow steps 3-4 in this article for other fixes: Fix issues with the Go Payment and QuickBooks mobile app card reader.

Moreover, it's better to check if your system meets the application's requirements to avoid unexpected behavior when using it.
