I have a client who wants me to give her a summary of what she has paid to us by year for three of her companies.  What report would I run?

Good morning, @nicolevg.

Thanks for taking the time to reach out to the QuickBooks Community. I hope you're having a great day so far.

I recommend using the Sales by Customer Summary report. You can customize the report to show your client's three companies and adjust the date to fit your needs. I'm including some steps to walk you through the process below.

  1. Go to the Reports menu.
  2. Go to Sales, then click on Sales by Customer Summary
  3. At the top left corner of the report, tap on the Customize button.
  4. Adjust your date.
  5. Select the Filters tab.
  6. Click on the Name filter. Then, select Multiple Names from the drop-down menu.
  7. Choose your client's three companies.
  8. Hit OK to run the report.

That should do the trick. For more information about customizing reports, check out Customize Reports in QuickBooks Desktop

Don't hesitate to let me know if there is anything else I can assist you with. Take care and have a wonderful day ahead!

Thank you everyone for the advice.  My apologies for the late response.  It's tax season here, and I haven't had a moment of time!
