QB Enterprise 2021- entering vendor bills not posting to PO

Our sequence of processing Purchase Orders/Receiving Inventory/Entering Vendor Bills has always occurred in that order.  Upon receiving a vendor bill, we would choose vendor, enter bills & choose the PURCHASE ORDER for which we want to enter a bill.  The PO was shown whether received in full or not.  Since the update to 2021, the only option for entering a bill is from the item receipt(s); the PO is no longer shown to "bill from". The issue with billing from the item receipt is that the field "Qty on Bills" on the PO is not updated/populated.  This certainly can result in AP issues, duplicate payments to vendors. etc.  Seems there is a glitch with the software as furthermore on the Bill itself, when the Show PO button is clicked it opens the Item Receipt.  Tech support advised us to delete/re-enter PO's & redo item receipts.  This is not a practical solution nor would it solve the problem.  They stated that they could note escalate to their programmers to which my response was quite heated!  PLEASE HELP!

QUICKBOOKS... our P&L is totally messed up b/c of this issue. I'm spending countless hours trying to fix our books. WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOUR COMPANY??? We have MILLIONS of dollars not posting to our P&L b/c we can't freaking turn off enhanced inventory and you guys BROKE IT.

THIS IS SOOOO STUPID, it's been an entire year. I think you should give every single client that uses enhanced inventory a credit for 12 months b/c of the issues you have caused. I used to LOVE Quickbooks, I've sent so many clients your way, but the lack of customer service and the fact that you guys can't seem to fix the software you created in the first place makes your product less desirable.

Also, can I send Intuit the bill for my very expensive accountant that is having to decipher where all of our money is going since it's not posting correctly? IMBECILES!!!

Having this same problem today for the first time, 2/9/22. We upgraded last week. I see this being a huge issue as we will now have to manually close out POs.

February 9, 2022

This isn't the kind of experience we want to leave you with, @CMathias.

I have some information about bills not posting PO's. As mentioned by my peer @CharleneMae_F, our product engineers are working diligently on getting this resolved as soon as possible.

In the meantime, you can add the PO manually to the bill as a workaround.

I'd also recommend contacting our Customer Care Support. This way, you'll get notified whenever a resolution update is available. Here's how to reach out:

  1. Go to Help, then click QuickBooks Desktop Help.
  2. Select Contact Us.
  3. Give a brief description of your issue, then tap Continue.
  4. Choose a way to connect.

One of our phone agents will assist in adding your company to the list of affected users. Just provide this investigation number for easy tracking INV-1943.

I'm also adding this link in case you need help managing vendor-related tasks. It has our general vendor topics with articles: Expenses and vendors.

Thank you for your patience while we're working for the permanent fix. Feel free to reply anytime if you have follow-up questions or concerns with bills. I'll be happy to assist you. Take care and have a wonderful day ahead.

Might I suggest that you stop saying they are working on it most diligently.  We no longer believe that.  Over a year and a half and it still doesn't work.  It took them a few months to even admit that there was a problem.  People spent hours and hours on the phone and rebuilt their files multiple times while QuickBooks knew they had broken the software.  What was even worse was that you released the 2022 version with the problem still there.  You didn't warn your Enterprise customers.  Not everyone needed to update at that time (since it is every 3 years for payroll).  That was bad faith on the part of the company.  This is costing end users money and time.

February 23, 2022

Just spent an hour in a QB's Chat on this topic.  And a year later there is no resolution, no projected fix date.  Anyone else just renew their support of like $4k and want a refund?

February 23, 2022

yes, I've asked several times for a refund.

March 14, 2022

So to add insult to injury, they are ending support for 2019 (which still works) in May, when this still has not been fixed over a year now!

Unbelievable!

Support is terrible!, I have asked for a manager to call me back to discuss the logic here.  I was told it will take 3-5 business days for a manager to call me ?!!

It looks like they are forcing our hand to take our business somewhere else.

February 23, 2022

So the online Chat with Quickbooks said I would get a better answer by getting a phone call back.  I requested one.  Person answered I gave the issue number, was put on hold and 33 minutes later they disconnected the call.  Great support eh?

June 9, 2022

This is still an issue now, in June of 2022. Are flows have been obliterated, and we've now begun actively seeking out other accounting platforms as QuickBooks is no longer stable or reliable. How could you let this happen Intuit? Are they still considered a "Fortune 500 company?"

August 19, 2022

Quickbooks Support team -  This Issue is almost 2 years old.  What is the status of this issue?  Will this ever be fixed?

August 19, 2022

I actually are already lobbying to replace QB within our company, this issue being a self explanatory example why.

October 20, 2022

Just wanted to say we are having the same issue. Still in 2022.

October 20, 2022

Hi there, @OToolIndustries.

We want this fixed as much as you do. I'll share some information.

As of now, our engineers are still investigating the cause of the issue. Rest assured, though, that they're doing their best to come up with a fix as soon as possible.

If you haven't yet, I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Support Team. This way, they can add your company to the list of affected users so you can get an update about the resolution status of the investigation. You can also provide this investigation number for easy tracking: INV-51527. To reach them, please follow the steps below:

  1. Go to the Help icon and select QuickBooks Desktop Help.
  2. Click Contact Us.
  3. Write your concerns in the description box, then select Continue.
  4. Select which one of the support options you'd like to use.

You can also check out this article for another way of reaching out to our support team and its support hours: QuickBooks Desktop Support.

We appreciate your patience as we're working on this. Please let me know in the comments below if you have any other questions. Take care and stay safe!

Sadly this is the same canned response we have seen several times in this thread spanning a few years.  We've all done this and it's still not making a difference 3 releases later.
