Question

QB is telling me there is a credit card problem, although the card is good.

My billing information is correct. And the card expires in 2023. It has been fine, but now QB says they are having an issue, but when I enter all the correct credit card info, it says there is an error and gives an error number.

Hi, @mainbrain.

I'm here to help fix the issue you're having with your credit card in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

May I know what specific issue you're having? Any additional information will help me provide the best resolution.

In the meantime, let's sign in to your QBO account using a private browser (incognito). There are times that the browser is already full of frequently accessed page resources (cache and cookies), causing some unusual responses.

Here's how:

  • Press Ctrl Shift (Google Chrome).
  • Ctrl Shift (Firefox).
  • Control Option (Safari).

If everything looks good, return to your default browser and perform a clear cache to refresh the system. However, if the issue persists, try using other supported browsers.

For more information about managing your QBO subscription, consider checking out this article: Manage billing, payment, and subscription info in QuickBooks Online.

You can also visit our website for more tips and other resources you can use in the future: Self-help articles.

Leave a comment below if you have follow-up questions about billing information or anything else. I'm more than willing to assist. Keep safe.

Thank you, but it didn't work any better in Incognito. The strange part is the card doesn't expire until 2023. Here is the error message:
We couldn't process your payment. Make sure your billing info is up to date. If the issue persists, please contact support and reference this message. (Error code:-81624)
