QBO invoice Payments

Thanks for posting here and choosing QuickBooks. I got the details you need after signing up for QuickBooks Payments.

Since you've already connected your merchant account to QBO, set up your Chart of Accounts (COA) and configure invoice payment settings so customers can make online payments.

To start, let's set up your chart of accounts. Here's how:

1. Sign in to your QBO account.
2. Click the Gear icon, then select Account and settings.
3. Choose Payments.
4. Locate the Chart of Accounts, then click Edit.
5. Select the Standard deposits dropdown. Then, select a deposit account where you want to record the payments.
6. Select the Processing fees dropdown. Then, choose an expense account to track processing fees.
7. Click Save.

Next, set up your account settings for invoice payments:

1. Select Sales.
2. Find Invoice payments, then select Edit.
3. Select the payment method/s your customers will use. You can also put payment instructions to show on your invoices.
4. Click Save, and Done.

Also, please note that the first set of payments will be processed within five business days. This longer timeframe is part of the account setup process. Once done, customer payments will be deposited much more quickly.
