QuickBooks could not read the name of your company from your company file...

"QuickBooks could not read the name of your company from your company file. Please select Company Information from the Company menu and make sure your Company Name appears correctly."

 

Getting that JavaScript alert/error when going to Merchant Service Deposits and it won't let me log in. Nothing has change with company name and it appears correct under My Company. Have 3 different companies in QB with separate merchant service accounts. This only happens with one.

I can help you with resolving the error you have when going to the Merchant Service Deposits, @Martin Dz.

 

Check if you have the latest available release by downloading the latest update. To know how to check you have the latest release and schedule future automatic updates, check out this article: Update QuickBooks Desktop to the latest release

 

Then, try running the Rebuild and Verify Utility tool to fix possible data damage on your company file. 

 

Please follow the steps below:

 

  1. Open your company file again.
  2. Go to the File menu, then select Utilities and choose Rebuild Data.
  3. Click OK in the QuickBooks Information window.
  4. Wait until the repair is done. Then, click OK.
  5. Then, go back to the File menu and select Utilities and choose Verify Data.
  6. Click OK if QuickBooks doesn't find any problems. Or Rebuild Now if it finds issues with your company file.
