I am trying to do a bank reconciliation, but my credit card payments are not showing up as deposits in my Quickbooks banking.  However they show up on my bank records.  What can I do?

Welcome back to the QuickBooks Community, surfsidehoa. I'll be sharing details on how your bank and credit card transactions work in QuickBooks. Then, I'll ensure you can reconcile your entries smoothly.

When you connect your QuickBooks accounts, transactions will automatically download and you will only need to approve them to categorize them. With this, one of the reasons why credit card payments do not appear as deposits in bank reconciliation is that they were not added or matched.

I recommend going to the Banking page and For Review section. Then, add any entries that did not find an existing matching transaction in QBO. It initiated a new transaction for you using your bank or credit card information. Otherwise, you have to match the downloaded entries with the ones you previously entered and this connects them so that you don't get duplicates.

Once done, you can now view your credit card payments as deposits in the reconciliation. Then, you can open this article to see detailed steps on how you can reconcile your account to avoid discrepancies: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online.

Lastly, you may refer to this article to view different guidelines that can help you fix any reconciliation issues: Learn the reconcile workflow in QuickBooks.

As always, you can add a comment below if you have further questions about your transactions in QuickBooks Online. I’d be happy to answer it for you, surfsidehoa. Have a great day!
