Quickbooks is still making e-payments despite cancelling service and payroll and disabling auto taxes

I appreciate your patience, Justifun. I want to inform you that disabling Auto Pay & File won’t take effect immediately. It will start on the first day of next month. Allow me to explain this in more detail.

In QuickBooks Online payroll, any unpaid taxes for liability periods before the setting was turned off will still be processed. For example, if you disabled Auto Pay & File on January 15, but had an outstanding federal payment due for January 1–31, that payment would still be submitted.

Once Auto Pay & File is fully disabled, any upcoming tax payments and form filings will appear on your To-do list in the Payroll Overview, allowing you to manage them manually.
