Good thing you posted here in the Community, @RoRo2.

I want to ensure your client will see the pay button on their end.

Can you tell me if you've selected a payment method before sending your invoice?

If you've activated online payments, you'll have to select either Credit Card or Bank Transfer in the payments section before sending the invoice. This way, your customer will see the Pay Now option.

Here's how:

  1. Go to Invoices.
  2. Tap Create invoice.
  3. Enter the invoice details. Then, tick Payments towards the right portion of the invoice.
  4. Choose a Credit Card or Bank Transfer.
  5. Click Email.

If you've verified that you've already set up the payments on your invoices, resend the invoice to your client. If the same thing happens, contact our Support Team. Our live agents can further investigate this issue. You can use this link to reach out: Contact QuickBooks Self-Employed Support.

In the meantime, if your customer wants to make a payment right now or already paid you, you can enter the transaction manually. I'll show you how.

  1. Go to Invoices.
  2. Locate the invoice that you'll want to record the payment with.
  3. Click the drop-down arrow beside Send, and then select Mark as paid.
