Refund using card reader

When I try to use the card reader to issue a refund, QB makes me type in all of the information manually. It will not let me use the card reader - I get the response "your card reader is not supported".  This is the reader I purhased from Intuit (the only one they had).

It's possible that the card reader isn't compatible with the product you are using. To ensure you can use them, check if they are compatible. 

 

If they are and the issue persists, I suggest contacting our support team. They have the necessary tools to check this and help ensure you can use the card reader to process the refund. 

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Open QuickBooks.
  2. Go to Help, then select QuickBooks Desktop Help/Contact Us.
  3. Select Contact Us.
  4. Give a brief description of your issue, then select Continue.
  5. Sign in to your Intuit account and select Continue and then Continue with my account.
  6. Select to chat with us or Have us call you.
