Question

Sales receipt just started to print a second page with credit card transaction info

I am using QB 2022 Pro desktop
I process charge cards through Intuit in the Sales receipt screen

I always print the sales receipt on the back of the shopping cart page
This lets me use one page of paper that goes into the customers package

On 10/03/2022 the sales receipt started printing a second page that only has the credit card transaction info
I do not need to print that info because it is included on my sales receipt template

This has never done this in the many years of me processing credit card in QB desktop

I cannot find a way to turn this off in QuickBooks
Does anyone know how to stop the Sales receipt print from printing a second page with the credit card transaction info?

Hi there, @EL34. I've got your back, and I'll ensure you can get through this so you can print a specific page in your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) company.

You can perform the Verify and Rebuild data feature to ensure that your company file doesn't have data issues. The Verify feature self-identifies most of the commonly known data issues within your company file. While the Rebuild Data helps resolves most of the data integrity issues that the Verify Data finds. I'll gladly input the steps below so you can proceed. To begin, here's how:

  1. Choose Window then Close All.
  2. Verify Data. Choose File then Utilities. Select Verify Data. If you see:
  • "QuickBooks detected no problems with your data," no further action is needed.
  • A specific error message, there may already be an article for it. Try searching for it in our QuickBooks Desktop support site for specific instructions.
  • "Your data has lost integrity," indicates there is data damage in the file. Continue to the steps below to Rebuild Data to correct the problem.

See this article for more information: Verify and Rebuild Data in QuickBooks Desktop.

If the issue persists, you can also consider downloading the sales receipt as a PDF file and then print it from the PDF application, so you can select a specific page to print.

Additionally, I've got you this article to help you resolve printing-related issues in QBDT: Resolve printing issues.

You can also check this page to learn more about the transaction workflows in QBDT: Get started with customer transaction workflows in QuickBooks Desktop.

Is this some sort of robot reply?

I don't have any problems with my printer and the company file is fine
Did the robot read my issue?

The support that provided the solution is a human, EL34.

I'd recommend sharing a screenshot to help us determine the main cause why QuickBooks printed a second page with the credit card transaction info. This is also helpful in providing additional steps to resolve this.

I hope you can respond to me on this thread so we can work on your concern together. Please know I'm ready to assist further. Have a good one.

Only Sales Receipt that has been associated to a Merchant Payments are getting the second page. If you change the payment method to cash the 2nd page will not show up.

I process credit cards through Intuit on the sales receipt screen which is a cash sale

I am not sure I understand what you are saying?
Associated to a merchants payments?

Nothing in my Quickbooks setups has changed in 20 years of processing credit cards with Intuit on the sales receipt screen, so how is this happening all of a sudden?
