Thanks for reaching out to us, SIR Roy.
I see the value of classifying accounts to keep track of account balances by department, office or location, and property. It's odd that when you click on the triangle icon, the list of regions doesn't appear.
I've opened the same version of yours, and I see the list when hitting the triangle icon. Let's run some troubleshooting procedures to determine if this is an issue with your company file or the QuickBooks software.
Before we proceed, ensure your QuickBooks Desktop is up-to-date with the latest release. Then, you can download and install QuickBooks Tool Hub to fix some problems and errors.
Here's how:
- Close QuickBooks.
- We recommend you download the most recent version (1.5.0.0) of the QuickBooks Tool Hub. Save the file somewhere you can easily find it (like your Downloads folder or your Windows desktop).
- Open the file you downloaded (QuickBooksToolHub.exe).
- Follow the on-screen steps to install and agree to the terms and conditions.
- When the install finishes, double-click the icon on your Windows desktop to open the tool hub.
- Once installed, select the Company file issues.
Check out this article to guide you through the process: Fix common problems and errors with the QuickBooks Desktop Tool Hub.
If the issue persists, you can repair QuickBooks Desktop to make sure all components to run the program are updated. I'll show you how.
- Restart your computer.
- Open the Windows Start menu, then click Control Panel.
- Select Programs and Features, then Uninstall a Program.
- Choose QuickBooks from the list of programs, then click Uninstall/Change.
- Select Continue or Next.
- Click Repair, then Next.
- Once done, hit Finish.
Once everything looks good, you can read this article for future reference to guide you in print checks: Create, modify, and print checks.
I'm just a post away if you need further assistance with the class feature. Have a wonderful day.
