Stop estimates from auto-converting to invoices

It seems when I send someone an estimate, and they accept, the estimate is automatically converting to an invoice with a net 15 due date. This is extremely frustrating. Is there a way to turn this off?

 

When a customer approves an estimate, the job goes into a backlog and the invoice is not sent until the work is complete. So, this is realizing revenue for work to be performed next month. 

 

One other issue is that the card and bank payment options are defaulting to OFF when an estimate is converted to an invoice. I have to go into every invoice and turn on the payment options.

    Hi topherhaddox,

     

    Thank you for your feedback about the new Estimate experience. I realized how much work you need to do when a customer accepts their estimate.

     

    The option to go back to the old experience was already removed, so I recommend sending feedback about this. This way, our engineers can make changes in future updates.

     

    1. Click on the Gear icon.
    2. Choose Feedback.
    3. Select Next.
