I'm here to handle your query about a credit card authorization hold. 

 

At this time, this specific feature you mentioned isn't available for QuickBooks Payments (Merchant Services). I can see how it can be useful both to you and other users as well. Rest assured, we've taken note of what you stated.

Not having this feature hinders our ability to use QBO payments for our business operations. We must apply a credit card auth in order to rent our products. This is essentially a damage deposit. Do you have any suggestions for getting around this?  -Thanks

      There is an option that allows temporary authorization credit card hold, but I haven't been able to find any information detailing exactly how it works.  I called and spoke to someone today and it is my understanding that you a hold can be placed and it automatically expires within 7 days.  You can capture the hold if it hasn't expired.  Would be nice if there was detailed information on how it works.

      Which payment processor do you mean? We can help check if QB connector supports it or not
