UI Design, Slide-in Bars, Popups, Deposit Amounts Missing and More

Hi,

Ever since you updated to these new invoices, we have faced nothing but slow loading screens. It feels like QuickBooks is fighting us to do our job. When we open an invoice, we are bombarded with slide-in bars that we have to close - it used to be just one, but now it is two. We don’t need this random information popping up, as it doesn’t help us at all.

After processing a card and saving an invoice, it doesn’t close automatically. Instead, you have to manually close it. Either a blank invoice or an invoice with only the person's name and no information appears immediately behind the receipt, forcing you to close that window and re-open the original invoice to print the receipt.

You also removed the half deposits from customer receipts, which means that when the final receipt is issued, it no longer shows the initial deposit. This confuses customers, making them think they were billed the full amount.

Everything is extremely slow. It takes forever to open invoices and payment information, and everything is much worse after the new invoice update. Can you please fix the UI and page loading speeds? This product is becoming terrible. Also, please get rid of these unnecessary slide-in bars, as they are not useful. Please tell your UI team to stop making QuickBooks worse every week. It’s nearly unusable at this point.

This isn't the experience we want you to have. I recognize the importance of having easy access and error-free QuickBooks Online (QBO) tasks, especially when managing invoices and payment information.

QuickBooks is committed to delivering a new invoicing layout that facilitates quicker job acquisition and payment processing. Our product design team has implemented enhancements to streamline the management of customer sales transactions.

While adding back those missing features and disabling slide-in bars is unavailable, I encourage you to share these thoughts on our feedback channel. Our product developers are open to suggestions to improve our products and meet our customer's business needs.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Select Feedback.
  3. Enter your suggestion and click Submit Feedback.

You can also track feature requests through this link: QuickBooks Online Feature Requests.

If you're experiencing slow-loading pages, your browser may become overwhelmed with frequently accessed page resources such as cache and cookies, which can cause unexpected behavior. With this, you can access your QBO account through a private browsing window to see if it is a browser-related issue. You can use the following shortcut keys to access incognito mode:

  • Safari: Control + Option + P
  • Google Chrome: Press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + N

If this works, you can clear the browser's cache so the system can start fresh. If you get the same result, I recommend switching to a different supported browser.

Additionally, you may find this article helpful regarding speed issues:  Why is my QuickBooks Online slow? There are several factors to ensure you maximize your user experience.

Furthermore, refer to this article to learn more about new estimates and invoice rollout updates: See what’s new with estimates and invoices in QuickBooks Online.

If you have further concerns about managing your account in QBO, please don't hesitate to contact me. I'll be around to help.

@RheaMaeH  RE: This isn't the experience we'd want you to have, PleaseFixUI.

Of course it is. The customer is experiencing exactly what you've built. It's exactly what Intuit wants, or Intuit would have build something else.
