I've got steps to ensure you can print a report with the unapplied payment details, @BREF.

You can pull up the Profit and Loss Detail report and then customize it to show all the unapplied payments information. Let me show you how:

  1. Go to the Reports menu at the top.
  2. Choose Company and Financial, and then tap Profit and Loss Detail.

  3. Click the Customize Report button, and then directly go to the Filters tab.
  4. Search the Transaction Type filter, and then choose Multiple Transactions from the drop-down.
  5. Pick Payment, and then click OK.
  6. Hit OK again when you're ready.

  7. Choose the desired date from the drop-down, and then set the Report Basis to Cash to show the unapplied payments.
  8. Click the Refresh button to apply the changes made.
  9. Then, select the Report option from the Print drop-down.

  10. Pick all the preferences you need, and then tap the Print button to continue.

Also, you can save the current customization settings of your reports for easy access in the future. For more details, please check out this article: Memorize reports in QuickBooks Desktop.
