Can I delete an employee if they did not start?

Hi mrsrobbo, 

 

Yes you can, even if they have not reached their start date yet in the system you would still need to Terminate Employee in order for them to be taken out of your active Employees list. To do so please view the following steps:

 

  1. Select your Employees tab 
  2. Select the employee you wish to delete (terminate)
  3. On the left-hand side, up the very top select Details
  4. Scroll down, select Terminate Employee
  5. You can stick to the same start date as their termination date, or any date for that matter, it is entirely up to you. 
  6. Then hit Save

 

From there, depending on the date you chose, the employee may still be on your Active Employees list until their Termination Date is reached. Once they get to the date, they will disappear from the list. However if you wish to reactivate them you can select the drop down to choose All Employees, and follow similar steps above to reactivate them.
