I have processed a redundancy for an employee and she is inactive on our system, however we have discovered she was underpaid for one day on the last week. How do I make a payment for the hours if she is inactive?

Hi steve-baycc-com-,

If the employee is already marked as terminated in QuickBooks and you would like to process a pay run for them, you'll need to reactive them first. Here's how:

  1. Go to Employees tab and set the employee view to All Employees.
  2. Select the employee from the employee list.
  3. You will then be directed to the Employee Details page. All you need to do is scroll down to the bottom and click the Re-activate Employee button:
  4. Once activated, the employee will then be eligible for pay runs again.

You can then unlock a pay run (if there's no super payments made from the pay run) or create an ad hoc pay run to record the unpaid hours. Once completed, you can terminate the employee profile by going to Employee details.
